Title:  Senior Manager,Automotive Retail

Location: Costa Mesa, CA / Westlake Village, CA / Troy, MI

Reports to: Senior Director, Automotive Retail

The Role:  As a Senior Manager inJ.D. Power’s Automotive Retail practice, you will strive to leverage and furtherdevelop your skill sets to successfully manage projects and financials, conductanalyses, and provide excellent client service, all in the interest ofexceeding practice goals and objectives.  

The Impact: You will work directly with large automotive manufacturers (OEM’s),who maintain some of the biggest retail brands in the world, as well as variousother internal and external business partners and entities.


  • Manage and deliver syndicated studies and proprietary automotive projects for clients
  • Collaborate with team members and across the organization to improve the efficiency, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability of all projects under management
  • Maintain direct interaction with customers to provide world-class client service throughout project lifecycle
  • Use Excel, mTab, SPSS and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation development
  • Participate in new product development, from inception through market introduction
  • Actively support and enable department to achieve revenue and profitability targets


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of market research, project management or similar experience at an OEM or within the automotive industry
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a passion for client satisfaction
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with active collaboration among team members
  • Demonstrated experience using Excel, mTAB, SPSS and PowerPoint
