Title:  Account Supervisor,Automotive Data & Analytics Consulting

Location: Costa Mesa, California

Reports to: Director, PINConsulting

The Role: As part ofJ.D. Power’s Power Information Network (PIN) Automotive Consulting andAnalytics team, your primary focus will be supporting analytical consultingengagements with our automotive clients. You will assist clients in improvingtheir pricing and go-to-market strategies by leveraging PIN’s proprietary datasetsand predictive modeling tools. You will work with clients on recurringengagements to optimize multi-billion dollar budgets, specifically in the areasof demand planning, market sizing, pricing, profitability andpromotion/incentives strategies. Our engagements also cover distribution,inventory optimization, remarketing and financial services in the veryexciting, dynamic and complex automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in depth data analysis, datavisualization and consulting support to automotive clients
  • Analyze and evaluate the automotivemarketplace to identify areas of risk and opportunity for clients
  • Interact with team members, and clients,with analysis supporting decisions related to sales, pricing, and incentivetactics
  • Proactively assist in determining clientneeds and help develop new analytical frameworks and solutions to satisfy thoseneeds and grow the business

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business or quantitativerelated field: Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Accounting, BusinessAdministration, Computer Science etc. required [MBA a plus however notrequired]
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Outstanding problem solving, dataanalysis, data manipulation and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Significant experience/strength with MSExcel (large complex dynamic data sets, pivots, lookups, programming, macros,etc.) required as well as fluency with MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact effectively withpeople and work in a collaborative, time sensitive, environment
  • Consumer products and/or automotiveindustry experience helpful, but not required
  • Consulting / professional servicesindustry experience helpful, but not required
